    Thanksgiving Day: Stafford vs Sanchez!

Work hard for a match up between the #1 and #2 QB’s of the ’09 draft!

Besides if it is not the Jets; then it will be Brady and the Patriots; and I want a win for Turkey Day – for a change!

    Go Lions!

Hmm…New York Jets, Chicago, Green Bay, Washington, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Buffalo, and New York Giants are all teams we could beat in 2010. Whether or not that will happen is a whole different story.

Yea, Well Again I wish that we could find the Guy that is setting up these Sceduals.
Every year when we get our scedual It Looks like we just won the SuperBowl.
Another Garbage Sceduale. This NFL is such a bunch of garbage. Allthough I know that we should be ready for anyone.
And the Jets GAME is Stupid TOO!
YOU KNOW THE NFL set that one on purpose hoping that the LIONS wont be ready as a TEAM and Knowing that the precious NY FANS will get to watch another TEAM win.Because thier TEAM is Allmost READY NOW!
I mean to set Stafford up against Sancheze with the TEAM that Stafford has nad the TEAM that Sanchez has?
Even if the Jets Win it does not mean that he is the Better QB!
What it Means is that they have been closer to being a whole TEAM For like the second year in a row!
So anyway I know Stafford is the BETTER QB and that I hope this TEAM can come together enough to win not only that game BUT, ALL OF THEM!
I hope we find the Talent that we need to CREAM NY.
    LIONS!

Ok now with what I really want to say about this TEAM.
As a FAN I am completely at this TIME anyway.
ON Board with what Schwartz SaId in in his press conferance.
I do NOT want a ONE Time wonder!
I for one am on board to SEE (hopefully LORD willing)This TEAM sticK to thier Commitment in getting BIG,STRONG,Fast,SMART PLAYERS!
And doing it through the DRAFT!
Also I am going to SORRY AGAIN to Mayhew who is doing a fine job!
I also am Wrong about the Ramsey signing.
However, I still want BackUp QB’s FOR MATHEW STAFFORD!
NOT competitors! Stafford should be our QB NO.1 Period!
    OK moving on.
And for Schwartz when Killer is asking who has been calling for instant gratification all these years you can answer him like this “YOU HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR INSTANT GRATIFICATION KILLER! YOU AND THE REST OF THE MEDIA ARE ALLWAYS ASKING FOR INSTANT GRATIFICATION!”
YES, the fans want to win! However i don’t want to win and then have another 50 years of loosing!
I as a “FAN” want a TEAM to be Proud of YEAR after YEAR FOR many YEARS!
WE got instant Gratifacation when Barry was here and it gave us ONE REAL PLAYOFF WIN against the Dallas Cowboys in 1991. AND I was there. And it was GREAT!
I would LOVE to see that and for the rest of the FANS to SEE that and experiance that over and over for a long period of time.
It was a great Feeling and SOMETHING that if more people in this city would experiance more of, that, they would Find that they would give up Instant gratification for a long run of playoff wins anyday.
TO be in a packed Stadium with Thousands of LIONS FANS CHEERING ON THIER TEAM! THERE IS NOTHING LIKE IT THAT I HAVE SEEN OR HEARD.
I GUESS SOME OF THE BOWL GAMES THAT MICHIGAN AND MICHIGAN STATE HAVE BEEN IN MUST BE CLOSE.
    OR THE PISTONS PLAYOFFS.
    OR REDWINGS PLAYOFFS!
REMEMBER THOUGH IT WAS THE SILVER DOME WITH CLOSE TO 80,000 PEOPLE OR OVER? BUT, ANYWAYS IT WAS THE BEST!
AND MORE PEOPLE IN THIS CITY WOULD AND SHOULD EXPERIENCE IT MORE THAN JUST ONCE OR TWICE.
REALLY I KNOW THIS CITY WOULD LOVE IT!
IF YOU HAVE SEEN THE REDWINGS,PISTONS,AND TIGERS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES?
THEN I KNOW YOU WOULD LOVE TO BE AT A PLAYOFF FOR THE LIONS AT LEAST A COUPLE TIMES IN YOUR LIFE!
IT WILL BE A DARN SHAME IF THIS CITY NEVER GETS TO SEE AND HEAR AND EXPERIENCE THAT WIN!
AND FOR THE PLAYERS? YOU GUY’S REALLY ARE MISSING OUT.
SO I HOPE THAT WE FIND A WAY TO GET THERE!
    A LOT!!!!!!!!!
    LIONS!
P.S. I really believe in Mayhew and Schwartz when it comes to putting this TEAM together and haveing a TEAM that is going to BE a winner!
And HOPEFULLY a winner for a LONG,LONG,LONG TIME!
    Again, LIONS!

    How schedules are set.

Each year the NFC North (Lions Devision) rotates playing a division in the AFC and the NFC. This last year every team in the NFC North played against every team in the AFC North and the NFC West.

In 2010 the NFC North is scheduled to play against the AFC East and NFC East. This accounts for half the games the Lions play. They then play everyone twice in their own division. That is 6 more games. The last 2 games are based on record. Since we ended 2nd to last in the whole league we play The Rams who finished 1-15 and Tampa Bay who finished 3-13.

So we are going to be playing against 6 teams that made the playoffs this year. Since the Packers and Vikings are in our division and we play them twice that means that half of the games we play next year are against playoff teams.

So yes the Lions do have a fairly though schedule. But, remember everyone in our division will be playing these same teams.

I see we have a Stafford and Mark dirty Sanchez matchup cant wait. You Gotta love Schwarts and his deffense minded and are succes in last years draft. Delmas and Levy were awsome. If we can beff up the O line in free agency add another piece for Calvin we can be .500 or better. Hopfully the rams will take Claussen so we can get Suh or Erick Barry im just not sold on Gerald McCoy we will be ok. Lets make are run. GO LIONS I ALREADY WANT THE SEASON TO START.

MAN COULD WE GET A HARDER WAY TO GO WE SHOULD BE PLAYING ALL THE BOTTOM TEAMS AND WERE NOT THAT REALLY SUCKS NEXT YEAR WE BETTER HAVE LIKE ANOTHER GOOD RECIEVER AND A BETTER LINE BOTH OFFENCE AND DEFENCE GO OUT AND GET A BIG NAME IF IM NOT MISTAKING THERE IS NO CAP SO YOU CAN SPEND AS MUCH AS YOU WANT RIGHT

  21. By Drew on Jan 7, 2010 | Reply

Hey Don! whatsup! yeah i feel ya man! In the beginning of 09 i was saying Daunte Culpepper should be the starter for our team, but after seeing him not do so good this year, (did OK against the steelers & Bears) but since stafford was out , he got enough playing time and he didnt take avantage of it the way he should of! Hes better then Drew Stanton, but its not a fair comparision bc Culpepper has 12 years of experience, were stanton has 3 yrs! Im nowing seeing some hope for our Lions at the QB situation, but most likely wont be until about 2012 where he starts playing great! Patrick Ramsey does make a great addition to our team, however, I believe we should let Matt Stafford be our starter, using Patrick Ramsey (1st backup) and Daunte Culpepper (2nd backup! Drew Stanton needs to be traded or put on the practice squad as a way for him 2 get better! And as for the Defense we need to hold : Grady Jackson, Anthony Henry, Phillip Buchannon, Larry Foote, Julian Peterson, William James, Ko Simpson, Marquand Manuel, Turk McBride, Cliff Avril, Dewayne White, Ernie SIms and a few others veterans that i didnt mention, bc if we lose them, then we will be back were we use to be in 2008 with no wins again and im sick of seeing this team getting screwed over! Jim Schwartz is a great coach especially since its his first year and all, He needs to add talent to the team not subtract and if we try and replace a guy like Larry Foote for Joe Smoe, our rivals will be humilating us when the score is like 56 Opponents – 0 Lions!

  22. By jotawn on Jan 7, 2010 | Reply

yea we have another rough schedule hopefully we can have a great offseason put last season behind us and move forward the best thing we can do is keep adding players we need like the 9 free agents we just signed thats a smart move but also i want us to add maybe if we can a few top notable free agent players that can possibly help us on DEFENSE then if not lets just stick with upgrading our o-line,d-line,and secondary and the rest should fall in place and be smart with our draft picks that can also help us.then after that may the best man win there roster spot.So i wish us the best of luck schwarts and company hope we have a good offseason and season coming up I would love to see us 10-6 or 8-8 next year or maybe a playoff spot, and winning the divison? one more thing i would love to see a handful of our guys make the pro bowl anythings possible GO LIONS yours truly DIE HARD FAN!

  23. By Joe on Jan 7, 2010 | Reply

The Lions have a lot of young talent who is not that raw. Stafford showed a lot of good things other than the turnovers. The lions need to draft Suh.If that doesnt work out then go after Spiller or Haden. It all starts up front with this team and thats why it seems the DB’s get beat a lot. Leah Bodden would have been fine in Motown with any pressure. The receivers our dominated by Calvin but he needs a supporting cast; who need to catch the football. I play WR at a school in Northeastern Ohio let me catch it.

    The team goes like this:

    QB:Stafford=Future Success

RB:Kevin is fine-keep him. Hopefully he heals. Maurice is also a nice addition but if Spiller is sitting there at the right time take him. PLAYMAKER, A SPARK

WR:CALVIN, ENOUGH SAID—–Derrick Williams—-Late rounds in draft or free agency..theres your receiving core

    TE: Pettigrew= good–more involved

OL-Revamped in spots..Gosder is young thats all i can say

DL-Suh I like the other young D tackles and Avril

LBS-GO TO 4 LB SET…A LOT OF TALENT…LEVY DIZON SIMS FOOT PETERSON

DBS-GET PRESSURE ON QB-HADEN IF RIGHT TIME IN DRAFT OR ILL TAKE MAYS

K-LOVE HANSON BUT HE IS GETTING OLDER

    P-PUT IT INSIDE 10 ONCE–NO TOUCHBACKS ANYMORE

RETURN GAME——CRIBBSSSSSSSSSS..I LEAVE NEAR CLEVELAND HES WORTH THE MONEY

  24. By don on Jan 8, 2010 | Reply

Yea, I think that we should Keep the Lber core just as it is and Keep them all. Or at least Peterson,Simms,Foote And Levy.
As for Drew Stanton I don’t think he is going to ever get a real Chance hear. Yes, He has been in the NFL for three years However,He hasn’t gotten three years Experience.
    He has Played one GAME.
Maybe he should Look to go to another TEAM Unless they really want him at BU QB?
However we need someone that can win if Stafford gets hurt!
And as far as I’m concerned that Means that Drew and Dante should go! Dante hasn’t won either. And he Looks to me that he has put those POUNDS right back on!
He Looked the same to me in the Bears game as he did last year in one of the Last games.
Also Neither one of these QBs have done as good as Dan Orlofsky did last year and that is why Mayhew got rid of Dan. So the Same should be for these two!
Maybe Ramsey should get a little more consideration.
Anyways there are a LOT of men on this TEAM that have something to Offer.
    Which Guy’s I can’t say?
However I know that everyone is accountable BUT, I do not think that way about Schwartz. I mean he has to be accountable. However I think that he IS!
I think he Knows exactly what he is doing.
He does have a few Minor adjustments with the GAME BUT, Over all I think he is the MAN!
I know that I might tick some people off BUT so BE IT!
I think the Players are ultimatly The ones to Blame.
They are the ONES that go out on that Field!
I don’t want to tick them off to bad However I don’t know where some of these guy’s learned to tackle?
TO MUCH tackling at the shoulders and up high? What is that about?
I am from Michigan the state not the School.
Anyways so are you probably anyways allmost everyone in this state knows how to tackle.
And NO you don’t swipe the Knees However you tackle from the waist down on most men.
And allmost every tackle I see is guy’s Head Hunting.
Well IT might Look good when it works? BUT it works like one in a hundred.
    Elementry!
    Anyways don’t get me started.
This TEAM is NOT going to Succeed until every player is Loyal to the TEAM.
And the COACH and EACH OTHER!This TEAM will NOT succeed Next year either.
Because, some people want one thing and some people want something else.
SOMEONE at the TOP is NOT BEING HONEST.AND that trickles down.
    YOU won’t succeed that way.
OH and it isn’t the Coach.
    And NO I wont say.
However if MR.FORD ever wants to know how to really fix this TEAM and have someone tell him the truth he should talk to me!(: LOL
NO really I really could fix a lot of this mess that he thinks is allready fixed But, It isn’t.
    I can see it.
    AND it isn’t good.
TO Bad for me and the rest of the FANS we are the ones that get hurt because of other peoples games.
WE just want a winner. BUT, others have thier own agenda’s. OH well? What are you going to do?
There is nothing that I can do?
Just hope that the Lord will step in and take care of the ones that arent being strait up!
And I’m not talking about players right now either.
I think the Players and the coaches are the Innocent ones in this mess. AND the FANS.
    It is a shame too!
Because if they all would work it the way that they said that they would in that conferance with the season ticket holders last year.
Then this TEAM probably would succeed.BUT there it is?
NOT everyone is being honest about it all and some have thier own idea’s.

  25. By Drew on Jan 8, 2010 | Reply

Yeah I really believe someone isnt honest in the higher part of the lions corporation! The LB core and DB, Safetys and DLs arent the problem, The WRs arent to blame, some of the OL isnt bad (Jon Jansen, Jeff Backus, Dominac Roilia and Daniel Loper) But the main question will we give Patrick Ramsey a chance in 2010 or will they just cut him without even giving him a chance to play?, He could be our main backup if Stafford cant play?! Drew Stanton has only played about 3 games in 3 years, and only has 2 total career TDs(2008 1 pass TD, 2009 1 rush TD) and has thrown 6 INTs, And Daunte Culpepper once was one of the best QBs in the league, now has trouble being consistant, in the last two years hes has 8 TDs (7 Pass TDs and 1 Rush TD) with 12 INT! I do believe he should stay in Detroit but as second or third string! We need to make room on our roster, we should keep Stafford, Ramsey and Culpepper! Stanton should join the practice squad incase everyone gets injured!
Its tough because the schedule is only has about 4 or 5 possiable wins! most of the opposing teams are playoff type teams, and they are going to embarass us again during thanksgiving if we have to play patriots or jets (both in playoffs), it cant ever be lions vs chiefs or lions vs rams, or lions vs raiders, or a team we have a fair chance to win against! I think they do it to get a laugh! I pray we will win so we can laugh at them 4 once! Good Luck Lions for the 2010 season!!!

  26. By Stephen on Jan 8, 2010 | Reply

I have been a fan all my life, I now live in KY. I have been seeing a pattern here in KY that I hope will not pass to Detroit. The teams that Win are the ones that recruit the best Coaches and the best players. This takes Money. I do believe the Detroit Lions can and should start doing some of this. But I have seen the Coaches of the Top teams change and still not get the results needed, so they change again without giving them a clear chance. This cost millions to do and should not be the way for Detroit. Let the Coach have the time to make The Detroit Lions his team. He is the one who decides what plays are to be run; He is the one who knows which QB can perform the plays he wants. The sole of the team will be and should always be the Head Coach. It seems to me that this is not always the case for this Team.
Fan for Life. Good or Bad I will not wear a bag on my head.

I dont know what games you all were watching but i saw our CBs get burned all season long (by rookie WRs to the vet WRs)ie masoquoi from cleveland cmon guys. If we dont pick up a top CB in the draft were gonna be the same lowly lions. if Schwartz can build a defensive back field like he did in Tennesse i will be the happiest man alive. go get em schwartz. lets go lions.

  28. By don on Jan 9, 2010 | Reply

    Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah,Balh,Blah,Blah!
Being embarssed is up to the Players?(about thanksgiving)
And I don’t really care what the schedual is, Your right we are supposed to win NO matter what the Schedual. However we usually don’t.
And the League is YES,supposed to give us an easier schedual When we prove that we can’t win.
And the Players are the ones that go out on the Field.
SO that means that THEY ARE THE PROBLEMS!
I like Stafford and was glad that we picked him, However as I do with most good players which would be all the players we got last year.
It would have been better if Stafford and the rest of them got picked by other TEAMS.
Because of the game playing at the top of the organization.
And no, I don’t mean the coaches.
Oh and some guy’s know how to tackle too!
Sorry I made it sound like I was talking about everyone.
Delmas did a good JOB and Foote did the Best JOB and Peterson and LEVY WOW he was allmost as good as Foote.
Maybe he was better I just watched the games I didn’t check the stats yet.
As far as other positions on the team except for the QB position I don’t think that I commented on any other position’s.
However what do you have against GOSDER? He’ Plays a good game. Why no mention of him?
    Oh’ well.
As for the QBs I stand on Getting rid of Stanton and Dante Culpepper.
OH and the Man that is Resposible for putting Men on the TEAM, that would be Mayhew decision’s.
YOU were talking about Schwartz making decisions on players? He can only suggest. The rest is up to the GM on who stays and who go’s.
And of coarse we agree on some players and some we don’t.
There are a lot of men on this TEAM that should be back up players really.
Yes, they are good enough to back up real players but not good enough to be starters.
Grady Jackson, Anthony Henry, Phillip Buchannon Ko Simpson, Marquand Manuel, Turk McBride, Drew Stanton Daniel Loper, Jon Jansen.
They were real starters at one time and real good starters too!
BUT,the starter days may have ended for a few of them.
How do I know? Maybe they are good enough to start?
Dante though, YOU make me Laugh with all his stats and everything like that is going to convince me that he is a winner!
I tell you what Made Dante a winner in years past.
Randy Moss! I remember Randy and him arguing on the side LINE probably one of those Games where Dante was getting all the credit for what Randy was doing for him.
And what I noticed is that when Dante Lost his Randy! He lost his game too!
I wonder how good Dante would be without say Calvin Johnson?
Would he still be a good QB? I don’t think so!
Other QBs are good QBs without star players.
I am totaly against getting rid of Calvin Johnson because he is a great Player and this TEAM Needs great players However, if we Traded Calvin Johnson away which we wont I wonder if Dante would still be any good then.
I still believe that Mathew Stafford would be a great QB in time.
    I don’t think that Dante would.and I don’t think that he is.
He is a good QB. Good enough to be a Back up QB.
If he was so great as you try to make him out to be WHY IS IT THAT THE LIONS ARE THE ONLY TEAM THAT WANTS HIM?
I havent heard of any offers for Dante? And if someone SAID that there was an OFFER I would want PROOF OF such accusations.
And if they wanted him that Bad.
It would be a dumb MOVE ON OUR GMs part to NOT TRADE HIM FOR SOME DRAFT PICKS!
So whatever argument you still have about Dante it still falls on Deaf ears. And that is because there are millions of us with eyes that work!
    And we have seen.
He is as useless as titts on a bull.
Coach’s on this TEAM have proven to be Mear Pawns to cover up what the GMs Fail at.
Which is what it Looks like Mayhew is beggining to do once again.Blame the coaching Staff.
When He couldn’t Find enough Talent in the FA market to help out.
When you don’t want a coach to succeed you don’t give him the players that he needs to succeed.
Or you give him players sent to him with your agenda attached to thier resume.
Either way the coach gets the blame for what the GM failed to do.
That is one thing that Mayhew learned from Millan that is still in use today.
The coach couldn’t get the players to cooperate.
BUT, you sent the coach players that werent supposed to cooperate.
Again it really doesn’t matter what is going on? As much as it matter’s that something is going on, that isn’t right.
And it leaves this TEAM again in a loosing situation.
SO FANs we have a lot to look forward to.Everyone is entitiled to thier own opinion. and this one is just mine.
I thought that Mayhew was going to be a great GM because I thought that all he cared about was winning.
BUT,I can see now that that is not all he cares about.
He has other issues besides winning.
That’s too bad. he could have been a successfull GM.
BUT now I just think that he will just keep trying to get things his way and not care about winning as much as whose on the roster.
His only Concern should be putting the best men on this TEAM that gives this TEAM the chance to win a superbowl. And thats not what he is concerned with.

does anyone believe the defense is not the problem???
2 field goals short of 500 points allowed this year.
There’s no other defense close to that bad. not even
St. Louis.THEY NEED DEFENSE DRAFTS AND TRADES AND FREE AGENTS. they have to stop SOMEBODY. Even when the Ravens won the superbowl, their offense was useless, so they scored on defense because it was GOOOOOD. GO DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Ok, some people are a lil’ upset about this years schedule… whatever, once we (detroit) become a bit of a better team, we can worry about our schedule… for now lets worry about becoming a better team… we got our QB in Stafford (finally), our defense needs so much work… guys like Delmas are a must… from a smaller school, but huge success his rookie season… an offensive line STILL is needed, when will the organization decide that they need to protect these #1 QB picks? Brady and Manning have been the top QB’s in the league for years now and i’m not so sure they would be as good if they had the Lion’s O Line (They wouldn’t be, no one could be)…the linebacking core we signed for last season needs to stay as is, they just need to step up and lead this defense… a good D Line guy should be drafted #1 this season…Suh is out cuz St Louis would be stupid to pass up that talent, so definate scouting in that area would be great…and Delmas NEEDS help in the secondary… William James showed some promise, but still isn’t quite up there asa shut down corner like charles Woodson or Derrell Revis, it’s gonna be hard to find a guy like those two that is willing to play in Detriot…Dre Bly gave it a go for a couple of years and couldn’t be happier that he’s out… so lets just take our schedule and play it… no sense in complaining about it when we haven’t had a team that can produce in years and are not even close to having one

I can see it now… Seattle taking the Lions second pick and the Lions getting seattle’s 6 and 14 picks. That will allow the Lions to Pick Berry and Spiller or Haden and Spiller. Yes, Suh would most likly be lost but the Lions would have a awesome tandem of safties and they desperately need a running back for next season. Seattle would get the second best QB if the Rams pick a QB or Seattle would get the #1 QB if the Rams take Suh.

I hope that Gosder, Cliffs and Delmas’s families are all ok. It is a Terrible Tradgedy. And a very very sad situation. And I hope that all is well for them and thier Families.
And we will be praying for them all.

Yeah whats this guy talking about trading our #1 pick away to the seahawks, isnt the idea for the Lions suppose to be to get as much top talent as possiable and for them not to focus on position!? Yeah ok I understand the lions do need to improve there offense, we could use another RB, but why would we waste our top pick for a running back when we could get an RB through free agency! Im with Don on this one, we need to take that McCoy character, the only way the lions should take Suu is if McCoy gets drafted by the Rams, Doubting the Rams are going to take McCoy but if so we can still manage a great 1st round pick! Our Rookie Matt Stafford, Patrick Ramsey & Daunte Culpepper need to stay! The Lions need to hold all there great players they got after the 2008 season when Schwartz started to FA the team! and then what we need to do is fill in our weakest positions, example dont draft a WR in the first round when you have Calvin Johnson, Bryant Johnson, and Dennis Northcutt, thats wasting a pick! Picking an OL to tighten up the wall would be a wiser move to add to Jon Jansen, Jeff Backus, Cherlius Gosder, Daniel Loper, etc making it easier for the QB not to get sacked all the time! Then with the second Draft Pick Maybe another TE, Will Heller and Brandon Pettigrew are great but Casey Fitzsimmons and the rest of them are just falling apart! This is my opinion, some of you dont agree, its whatever, doesnt matter what we say, Mayhew makes the calls which are up and down! He doesnt want to put out the $$$ like all the other teams, Look at Seattle they just put a whole new mangement up so did Texans, Redskins, Raiders and just bout everybody else, and the Lions sign nine free agents, that are the guys from the practice squad who have never stepped out on the field! While the Vikings, Bears, Packers are buying guys like Jay Cutler, Brett Farve, Charles Woodson, The Lions are buying guys like Charlie Brown and Linus from the Peanuts, bc they want to save money, but WE the fans are sick of a depressing season just hoping to win a game or 2 and not see another 0-16 record, Once again the schedule doesnt help, theres maybe 4 teams once again that are possiable wins, the other 12 are playoff teams! Im just praying to see a decent season this year! I really believe they should make the bottom 16 teams play only the bottom 16 teams & the top 16 teams play only top 16 teams! I think they are doing this bc they have some kind of beef with the Lions and Rams, both teams have been 31st or 32nd 2 years in a row! The Lions even changed the whole team in 2009 and all that change and hard work barely got us 2 W’s on the board!

    Duh! What?

  38. By don on Jan 14, 2010 | Reply

I have no idea about the RAMS having it in with the NFL? The LIONS however havent won in 50 years.
And even though that seems very Odd that one TEAM could loose that many all on thier own, with no help along the way? Well It just don’t seem Right to me and a lot of others.
Anyways,It would be nice if I new exactly how many picks the LIONS even have?
And It is MY opinion and mine only that McCoy from ( I believe) Oklahoma.the DT I’m allmost sure of anyways.Looks to be very Large, very Strong,Pretty darn FAST! And smart Enough to get through that line and put some people on thier Seats in like a hurry.
Also when I look at the 2 DTs SUU and McCoy.
Suu LOOKs VERY VERY FAST! He is really on top of his game from the Speed STANDPOINT! And he looks strong kinda. And he is BIG kinda.Smart? I don’t know? That is for whoever wants him to find out.
McCoy on the other hand is all those things and more.
This DUDE IS BIG!LARGE! STRONG! FAST! AND in the Smarts dept.Again for whoever wants him to find out?
However NOW with what I see as the Differance maker between the TWO is Maybe going to be Longevity (MY spelling is for crap).
And I don’t know that for sure either.BUT if I was a betting man I would put my money on McCoy!
And thats all I have to say about that.
I don’t know how many picks we have or in what order they are in either, sooooo!
Anyways YES,we need another RB because of injury.
Morris is a very good back as is Kevin and Aaron Brown is fast and well I think the LIONS can use him in sooo many other rolls that it is hard to put Aaron there. This guy can play Kick Return man.
Running Back, should have been used as the Slot RECIEVER this year.
Is this TEAM Planning on keeping the WRs that we have?
I mean if they play as bad as they did this year what then? Can or will TEAMS be able to find WR in the Middle of the year next year?
Anyways,This TEAM Needs TWO O Gaurds BAD! REAL BAD!
And I believe Schwartz when he says that we do not need OTs.
BUT then we better get some DARN GOOD Gaurds.
Or take the chance of loosing Stafford which we know there are a few people on this TEAM that would like to see that happen.
Anyways, what do we need in terms of needs and talent.
I do not understand this Talent over need Stuff.
YOU get the Most talented Needs that you can?
    LIKE McCoy for instance.
If we need O-Line Guards instead then you get the Most talented guards that you can.
What do we NEED and where is the most Talent?
Well we need 2 Guards at least 1DT a RB a CB or two and if you were asking me which you arent BUT I would say we could use(and this will freak Fans out) 2WRs.
Ok I’m really going to try my best not to comment anymore anyways.Just sit Back and watch what happens and then maybe comment something IN like hopefully Months!
I’m getting sick of the things that I’m writing.
and I know that the LIONS are sick of it.(:
Hope, it all turns out by next year for ya all.
Well if I can maybe I will say something this spring,Lord willing. Later.

The schedule could definitely be better. But I see 5 wins: Buffalo, Chicago once, Rams, Tampa Bay and maybe pull an upset over the Jets.

with the way the lions 2010 schedule looks some body better get them ( team ) to step up to the plate so to speek ( coaches ) . other teams blogs that I have visited you wont see any sniveling about there opponents. my bottom line opinion is that the teams owners have to make up there mind if they want to start winning our stay on the same path. if you want to win make the comitment or sell to somebody who wants to win.

I would like to see a blog that the fans could interact with the Lions brass. From Mayhew down to the trainer. Let the fans direct questions to the designated Lions brass for the week. He or she would choose most not all of the fans questions. Hopefully he or she would give sincere answers to the many questions the fans have, and not just a handfull to placate the average fan. For example, it would be reasonable for Mr. Mayhew to answer questions from the fans the week after the draft. The head coach the first week of preseason…How about the top 16 players to answer questions from the fans each week of the regular season. What do you think Mr. Ford? Perhaps this will generate more sincere interest in the team. Not cynicism on the part of the so-called Lions fans.

I think if you all knew so much about football someone would hire you to make the right decisions, but you don’t, so i have to sit here and read a bunch of nonsense from people who dont know a #@%$ thing about the sport. the only person who made any sense was Mick (he may be a Seattle fan) but he understands that 2 30 million doller players are better then 1 70 million dollar player. you could get awsome defensive player at 6, then probably the best RB in the draft at 14. The lions will never go anywhere as long as they keep taking every other teams old has beens to make a fresh start. two good players for the price of one I’ll take it.

Eric Berry! Bottom line thats the guy we need. Then go get a DL,CB,RB. The key is Eric Berry thou not since Blades,White Lions had two Saftys…………..!!!!!!!!!!!

Right on Mick!!! The only thibng that I would add is that I think that the fans should be able to ask questions of the referees after the game. How many times can the Lions be guilty of holding penaltys while the officials turn their heads when other teams blatantly grab Lions players? The opponents have been getting away with it for years. I beleive that the NFL (NO FAIR LEAGUE) or (NOT FOR LIONS) does not want to see a winner in Detroit. The only teams that they are concerned with are the teams the media hype up such as Brett Favre teams and Jerry Jones teams. Good bye to honesty in the NFL.

I am not one that thinks that Building through FA is a good idea?
YOU build thru the Draft! Any TEAM that is any good was built thru the Draft at one time or another.

We have a hard schedule, because, people want the Lions to show them what it’s about.
