Hanson to get Scope on Non-Kicking Knee

Posted by Chrissie Wywrot on August 3, 2010 – 2:42 pm

Head Coach Jim Schwartz announced prior to Tuesday’s practice that veteran kicker Jason Hanson is scheduled to have a scope – a minor procedure – done on his non-kicking knee.

Hanson injured the knee yesterday.

Schwartz: “The MRI showed a little bit of cartilage and we’re anticipating a similar situation as last year. He had some problems last year early on in training camp. At least this time, it’s real early.”

Schwartz doesn’t want to put a timetable on the injury, but he has confirmed that the Lions aren’t going to jeopardize Hanson’s start to the season by pushing him to come back during camp.

Schwartz: “(We) really won’t know a whole until they get in there, but we don’t anticipate it being anything but minor.”

    First, Hanson, get well soon.

Hope you get back to your NFL 8 for 8 beyond 50 yrds again this season.

Suh… time to sign buddy, you said you wanted to be in camp; didn’t want to hold out… time to tell your agent that.

Your going to make more than any player currently on our team, with the only exception – Stafford; our team’s franchise player.

Deal with it, tell your agent you are no “Crab Tree” and Just Sign It.

Heck, you have a Nike deal already also…
