Voters on NFL.com have made their choice. Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh of the Detroit Lions is the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week for games played on October 31-November 1, the NFL announced Friday.

Suh registered two sacks and four tackles and put an exclamation point on the victory with a 17-yard fumble return for a touchdown with 1:36 to play in the game that gave the Lions a 37-25 win over the Washington Redskins.

Suh was selected from among five finalists through fan votes on NFL.com/rookies. The other finalists were safety Eric Berry of the Kansas City Chiefs, running back LeGarrette Blount of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, quarterback Sam Bradford of the St. Louis Rams and cornerback Devin McCourty of the New England Patriots.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/rookies throughout the month of January. The winner will be announced at a press conference at Super Bowl XLV in North Texas.

This is Pepsi’s ninth year as the official soft-drink sponsor of the NFL and the ninth year that Pepsi will present the NFL Rookie of the Week and NFL Rookie of the Year awards.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford‘s return to lead Lions’ fourth-quarter comeback is the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week for games played on October 31-November 1. The GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week is the best moment or play of the week that represents determination and perseverance.
In his first game since Week 2, Stafford was determined to show he had fully recovered from a shoulder injury. Did he ever. Not missing a beat, the No. 1 pick in the 2009 draft refused to let the Lions surrender, bringing them back from two fourth-quarter deficits with a pair of touchdown passes to Lions WR Calvin Johnson, the final TD coming on fourth down with 3:12 to go.
Stafford was selected from among three moments by voters on NFL.com/gmc. The other two moments were Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie RB LeGarrette Blount’s pivotal role in the Buccaneers’ fifth consecutive road win and Kansas City Chiefs K Ryan Succop finding redemption with a winning field goal.
After the regular season, fans will have a chance to determine the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Year from among the 17 weekly winners. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/gmc throughout the month of January.

We finally got some young leaders who have a long future in Detroit as long as they stay healthy. Lions are the upcoming team to beat. Some experiance playing together and this team can be top dog in the NFC North.
