At this point, absent a trade down, DE Aldon Smith seems like a “no brainer” to me.

Lions will hopefully get a ot or a db buut mark ingram would be nice

Pouncey is the selection. He’s not a reach, he’s likely to be a pro-bowler, and it’s a position of need.

Detroit trades a 1st this year and a 2nd next year to Buffalo and takes Patrick Peterson

Take Mark Ingram with 13th pick. Hard worker and something to prove. Good pro material and no issues with personal character. C’mon Detroit it’s a no brainer.

Pouncey is my safe pick and my “gamble” would be for Mark Ingram, because I would not want to rest solely on Best and when we have a running working this offense can put major points on the board. Ingram is a runner who can get you yards between the tackles and short yards better than Best right now

The Detroit Lions should trade the 13th pick and their 5th rd pick with the Arizona Cardinals, for their 1st rd pick (5th overall) and select Patrick Peterson. If not, they should select the best OT available, and Talib from Tampa Bay and Osumounga from Oakland would be excellent off-season additions.

I think if all these people are gone than the Lions should do one of two things.
1. Trade down (this is the best case scenerio)
2. Take Aldon Smith ( I think he’s going to be a beast where ever he goes, he’s got the athletic frame and is the elite pass rusher)

Pouncey is the one. I agree w/ bigwalt definitely a position of need.

jimmy smith is the man. then pick up derek sherrod in the second round. or if they go with pouncey in the first. they can pick up brandon harris in the second round. brandon harris may not look like much in physical terms but this guy is a GAMER!!!!!!

Backus is 35 and his last year on contract. we need a tackle Tyron smith or anthony constonzo would be great choices. Both are pro-bowl players and will give you a good 10-12yrs. It would strenghin up the line to develope a good running game, it would also open up or passing game and give or qb some more pertection.
