Lions give it away three times in first quarter
Posted by on November 20, 2011 – 2:40 pmThree drives and three turnovers for the Lions.
After two Matthew Stafford interceptions, RB Keiland Williams fumbled it away on the Lions third drive to give the Panthers another great opportunity for early points.
The Panthers have now started two of their three drives inside Lions territory and lead 10-0.
Not a great start for the Lions offense.
If not for the defense, which got an interception and held the Panthers to a field goal on the first two turnovers, this one would be getting out-of-hand pretty quick.
The Williams fumble led to a Steve Smith 15-yard touchdown and the Lions find themselves down 10-0 late in the first quarter

Cam Newton just scored TD after getting the ball back from lions on a penalty! Lions look very bad, like a group of Rookies, that talk big and can’t back it up! Extremely poor play in every aspect of the game!!! Lions need NEW Offensive Linemen that can OPEN Holes for KS and all the RB’s. New Center, New Left Tackle, and Mantei Teo at MLB!
