Fairley arrested for Marijuana possession

After Marijuana related incidents involving running back Mikel Leshoure and tackle Johnny Culbreath, Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley has now been arrested in Alabama for second degree marijuana possession, a misdemeanor, according to al.com.
According to the report, Fairley was arrested this afternoon and held at the Mobile County Metro Jail on $1,000 bail.
Mobile police spokeswoman Ashley Rains said that citizens in the Morningside Manor neighborhood of Mobile called police complaining about a car speeding through the neighborhood several times around noon.
Police spotted the vehicle, which was being driven by Fairley, and marijuana was found in the football his possession.
The Lions issued this statement:
“We are aware of the incident involving Nick Fairley.
“We hold all of our players to a high standard of behavior and the recent charges against Nick and Mikel Leshoure are not consistent with those standards. We are extremely disappointed.
“We will continue to gather information and will have further comment at the appropriate time.”

Lions will learn preseason schedule Wednesday
Posted by on April 3, 2012 – 1:30 pmThe Lions will know their preseason schedule sometime Wednesday afternoon, according to league sources.
The Lions played the Bengals and Patriots at home last year in the preseason and traveled to Cleveland and Buffalo.
The regular season schedule will be announced later this month.
We already know who and where the Lions are playing during the 2012 regular season, but we have yet to learn when.
The Lions will play the Bears, Packers, Vikings, Rams, Seahawks, Falcons, Colts and Texans at home.
They’ll play the Bears, Packers, Vikings, Cardinals, 49ers, Eagles, Titans and Jaguars on the road.
