I'm happy with the signing. So far he has taken us out of the laughing group and made us a real threat to any team but lacks the playoff wins to warant. hopefully we go to championship game this year with a regular season 11-5 or 12-4 record and host one playoff game. time will prove this to be exceptional or otherwise. Many coaches have proven to get a team to being good but not good enough to get to the big game which has eluded us for WAY TOOOOOO long. I am starving for a superbowl like all the other fans. Good luck Jim in finding a way to get us there and i'm with ya 1000000%. I enjoy watching the passion you show on the sidelines and can really see a lose hurts you immensely as it does us. Control has been lacking and maybe more discipline is in order this year by you and your coaching staff. RARARA speeches and that are all good but Fontes only went so far with that theory now it's time for the proffessionalism to take over and see how these players hold themselves to there own accountability on the field. Do they listen or not. penalties down, offfield incidents, and excelling at what they do is how we measure it. (winning cures all)

Hey kitty fans
I remember when the Vikings signed a coach to a long term deal after one great season. They went 6-10 the following season, and the coach was fired with 6 games remaining. Good Luck Kitties

Troy, I agree with all of your points regarding Schwartz, and all but one of your points regarding Avril. Avril's good, but certainly not 'great', at least not yet. All he's done is have one really nice season, and that season might have been influenced by the opponent's concentrating on neutralizing #90.
Now that Avril has had one good season, let's see if he can do it for several more years.
If he remains as productive as he was last season, I would think that then it would be appropriate to apply the 'G' word to him.
Are you listening, Mr. Suh? One season won't define a career.

I like it...he deserved the extension. Impressive that they got it done in the offseason a year prior. They have signed their core players. This group is going to bring a Super Bowl to this city.

Would like to see Cliff Avril signed also...He is good for the chemistry of the DLine and the team in general. Us fans really like him too. I know the contracts can get tricky for both sides, so I will leave that for them. But I hope they can work something out that is great for both sides.

Cliff is due and he wants the best for his family and he really wants to stay in Detroit...hes a class guy and a great player. Just want you want as a staple in your organization. He wants some stability so that he can grow with the team. I think he will get it.
