No Delmas or Williams at practice

Safety Louis Delmas did not participate in the portion of practice open to the media on Friday.

Delmas was limited Thursday and his absence puts into question his availability for Sunday’s game vs. Indianapolis.

The Lions will release their game designations at 4 p.m. on and Delmas is likely to be questionable.

The Lions were also without defensive tackle Corey Williams at practice. He, too, participated in practice Thursday, also in limited fashion.

The Lions could simply be resting both Williams and Delmas to limit the wear and tear on their injured knees before Sunday.

Defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch (neck) and cornerback Jonte Green (illness) returned to practice. Green hasn’t practiced all week.

Left tackle Jeff Backus was at practice again, but was limited in individual drills with that hamstring injury.

Hopefully Delmas and Williams are just resting. As for Backus if you go back in the game to soon with a hammy you can injury yourself permanently. Hammy’s are nothing to be fooling around with.

I think Delmas is just resting and he’ll be active against the Colts.
If we could all the starters on both sides of the ball,we’re going to win!

    5-0 streak
    Let’s go LIONS!!!

A great idea come to me while sipping wine yesterday gazing over the dusy fields here in Granite Shoals, Texas. I may have been in my cups as they say but that is when I do my most profound thinking. At the beginning of the season play the second and thrid string players that way we can play healthy first string guys down the stretch! Brillian huh? No need to thank me. I am just looking out for the team as a transplanted Lion fan avoiding the snow and cold of Michigan.
