Williams, Fairley only Lions missing from practice
Posted by on December 6, 2012 – 12:56 pmThe Lions had a numbers of starter return to the practice field today and look relatively healthy heading into Sunday night’s prime time matchup with the Packers in Green Bay.
Cornerbacks Chris Houston (ankle) and Jacob Lacey (foot/Achilles) returned to practice after sitting out Wednesday.
Defensive end Lawrence Jackson (concussion), right tackle Gosder Cherilus (knees) and safety Louis Delmas (knee) were also back after missing Wednesday’s session. Delmas was limited participant in the portion of practice open to the media today, though.
Defensive tackles Corey Williams (knee) and Nick Fairley (quad) were the only players not on the practice field.
Fairley was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice, but is expected to play Sunday.
Williams missed his second consecutive practice, but that could be more his routine for the remainder of the season. He only practiced once last week and still played Sunday vs. Indianapolis.

Did Nick get cut blocked in the 4th quarter against the Colts or did something else happen? I was at the game and watched him limp off. As I recall it, it occurred before the Luck scramble and horse collar penalty.

Fairley and Suh talk to each other on the field of play. The result is two out of four playing well. Their youth shows at times. Reminders need to be instilled at certain times. Timeouts help this. Even thou you may give a team extra time. Your defense needs reminders. The guidance. The organizational set up of each situation. Without it, mistakes, controversy, displeasure….
