Herman Moore sits down with Calvin Johnson for Ford Lions Report

Wide receiver Calvin Johnson is just 20 yards away from surpassing Herman Moore‘s franchise record of 1,686 receiving yards, set in 1995.

With the likelihood that Johnson will accomplish that fete Saturday against the Atlanta Falcons, Moore sat down to interview the Lions’ all-pro wide receiver for the Ford Lions Report, which airs Saturday at 7 pm ET on WXYZ.

Said Moore after the interview, “It was great because I’ve talked to Calvin mostly at events or in passing, but being able to sit down one-on-one with him was actually an honor on my side.

“I have a tremendous amount of respect for him and I wish him all the best, I really do. When you see a guy who carries himself in such a professional manner, you can’t help but root for him.”

Moore asked Johnson about the season, the pursuit of Jerry Rice’s all-time NFL record and what he believes he needs to do to get better on the field.

“Doing interviews is interesting because I do get a perspective of what it was like to be asked the questions by the person doing the interview,” said Moore, reflecting on what it was like to be on the receiving end of interviews as a player.

“But it’s nice because I get to talk to some of the players and it helps me remember what it was like being on the other side. It’s a little different, but I’ve enjoyed it.”

Maybe Herman Moore can talk Calvin into staying for the long haul, and not taking a powder like Barry did.

Calvin will retire early if these coaches continue to do what there doing!!! Coach says he doesn’t know for sure if they need to replace Stefan Logan and he said something like that is hard to do during the season!!!! Really!!! We’re in trouble folks our coach doesn’t have a clue!!! We’re not going anywhere with him at the helm!!! Quit following the Lions until they have a sense of urgency as a organization or else the Fords will never do the right thing!!!! It’s an ownership thing so until they sell the Lions(never) they will never win!!!! Cursed by ownership!!!
