If Titus young is invited back to the team, he should start at the bottom. He should be a punt returner and 3rd or 4th receiver. Make him EARN his way back onto the field. That is the ONLY way he will be respected by teammates and fans, and the best way to put his attitude problems behind him.

When the season was lost (around week 10) why didn't the coaching staff play the rookies more to see if they were any good? The Lewis boys from OK and Whitehead were supposed to have so much potential. Maybe I missed their limited play time but I don't recall seeing them all season except on special teams. Let them play and if they suck give them the boot. We hang on to players for years and never know if they are good or not. Here is a tip...Logan ain't that good. Cut him and give someone else a chance. Can't do much worse. He was awful at week 6 but didn't get pulled until week 17. Hello, am I the only one left watching these guys. This year it hurt to be a Lions fan.

Nate is a fantastic public speaker! I truly hope he replaces his worthless former teammate, Cris Carter, or at least Shannon Sharpe, I can't bear to listen to those guys. A quick note: Shawn Jefferson was not fired, nor released. His contract expired and he did not wish to return to the team. The Lions felt it was mutual, apparently. Don't blame the Lions for getting rid of him, he's probably looking for a coordinator job somewhere.

I agree, releasing the Receiver coach was a big surprise. I blame it on Linehan and his argurement. Schwartz favors LInehan. Linehan can do no wrong.
Schwartz is going to have a hard time finding a quality Receiver coach like Shawn Jefferson. To many assistant coaches took the blame for Coordinator problems. It is a shame.
The Lions need Titus Young. I have been saying this, since the preseason. But if Schwartz don't like you you are gone. This terrible leadership. Coach can not find a way to solve a quality talent's issues. This git rid of him attitude is terrible.
On all levels I see the team being hurt by someone.
Coaching staff needs to accept the blame, not pawn the blame off and to assistants
Many Detroit Lion's players need tweaking in many areas.
The 2012 season was a big let down and I see to many of the wrong guys taking the blame.

There is No doubt that Nate and allot of other players will need to take cuts in pay to stay on the team. Titus Young might get another chance, but the Lions got a top notch WR in Ryan Broyles. Young has to drop down and earn his way back, and that is if he isn't a continual nuisance like before. This is gonna be a big year for the draft, and the Lions need some key parts that haven't been filled yet. We need to clean house at overpaid Linebackers, use the Oklahoma kids, and the CB rookies from last year. Matt Stafford is already on of the elite passers in the NFL, he just needs better secondary receivers, and better Running Game.
