I think this might be one of those situations where his ego is too big to admit he f’ed up, but hopefully he’ll see this as an opportunity and take the past into account, and bite his tongue and do his best not to create the same problems again… he’s going to have a major chip on his shoulder, so part of his motivation will be just be to prove the lions “wrong” for cutting him. Yeah, just sucks the lions had to be the ones to pick him first… I think they did the right thing to cut him.

Just to bad that this ended the way it did. That was cheap talent right there! Hopefully Broyles can step up.

Fisher is a great leader – and he can handle it. Wish the Lions had that kind of coach. Young wasn’t the only problem.

I don’t think the Rams quite understand what they’re getting here, guess they’re about to find out. I expected at least Jacksonville to make a claim on him considering the state of their offense, but I suppose that speaks to how undesirable he was that even the Jags didn’t want him. Still, Fisher is a hard-line no-nonsense coach, and if anyone can fix Young, it’d be him.

I realize that Young was a problem child and someone who had to go, but why not put together a package or a trade? I believe the Rams have two #1′s in the upcoming draft. The Lions could have made a trade to move down giving the Rams the #5 pick and Young and get the Lions an extra #1. That would have been a good way to pickup the Center ffrom Alabama and a good DE to replace VanDeBosch.
