Report: Titus Young already cut by Rams

Posted by ttwentyman on February 15, 2013 – 3:56 pm

Titus Young’s tenure as a St. Louis Rams is over before it started.

Jim Thomas, the Rams beat writer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, citing league sources confirming an earlier report by former ESPN analyst Rob Parker, reported that the Rams will cut Young just nine days after being claimed off waivers from the Lions.

Thomas said Young had been at Rams Park a couple days this week — meeting team coaches and officials and taking a physical and that was enough for the Rams to realize it wasn’t going to work.

The Rams were the only team that put a waiver claim in for Young after the Lions released him following a number of on- and off-the-field issues with the team last year.

Parker reports that Young might not play football again. If that’s the case, it’s truly a sad waste of talent.
